The beginning stages of Islamic education are the most vital to secure a solid foundation for children to build their knowledge on.

Commitment

Alhamdulillah, you have made intention for your child to go through Islamic education. This also requires substantial commitment and effort from the parents too. Without full attention, it becomes difficult for the student to concentrate and stay motivated to complete the memorisation of the Quran.

There are countless ways to help your children in their studies and it is up to you, the parent, to find ways what works for you and the student.

 

 

We have listed below a few tips for parents to abide by to aid their child in their studies.

A few tips to consider

  • Reassure your child that they CAN complete the task at hand

  • Continue to motivate during easy and hard times of studies

  • Keep a strict time table for the student

  • Offering rewards that the student can look forward to 

  • Acknowledge the hard work the student is putting in to their studies

  • Never compare with any other student that is on the same memorising journey

  • Cry to Allah SWT to make your child successful and fulfil your dreams

  • Keep the student away from any family conflict and worldly matters as much as possible

  • Avoid taking too many holidays and absent days

  • Keep a regular check on your child's progress 

  • Actively show interest in the students studies

  • Keep a fair balance between applying pressure to study and rewarding the student with free time to enjoy social time
